Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 July 2025
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the provision of professional business and consulting services by R&E Advisory Pty Ltd (ABN 67 703 568 950) (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“Client”). By engaging our services, requesting a quote, or using our website at https://readvisory.online, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services
We provide professional business and consulting services, which may include business advisory, strategic planning, operational reviews, and related consulting work. The specific scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees for any engagement will be set out in a written proposal, engagement letter, or statement of work agreed between the parties. Where a signed engagement document conflicts with these Terms, the engagement document prevails to the extent of the inconsistency.
3. Quotes and Proposals
Quotes provided through our website or otherwise are indicative and valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. A quote does not constitute an offer or a binding agreement until accepted in writing and confirmed by us. Fees quoted are in Australian dollars (AUD) and, unless stated otherwise, exclude GST, which will be added where applicable.
4. Fees, Invoicing and Payment
- Invoices are issued in accordance with the agreed engagement terms.
- Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Overdue amounts may attract interest at a rate of 2% per month, compounding monthly.
- We may suspend work, or require payment in advance, where amounts remain overdue.
5. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete and timely information reasonably required for us to perform the services, to respond to requests in a timely manner, and to ensure that any information provided does not infringe the rights of any third party or breach any law. Delays caused by a failure to provide information may affect timelines and fees.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where services are supplied to a “consumer” as defined by the Australian Consumer Law, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be rendered with due care and skill and will be reasonably fit for purpose.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Intellectual Property
All pre-existing materials, methodologies, templates, and tools used in providing the services remain our property or the property of our licensors. Upon full payment, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the deliverables created specifically for you for your internal business purposes. You retain ownership of materials you provide to us.
9. Confidentiality and Privacy
Both parties agree to keep confidential information received from the other party confidential and to use it only for the purpose of the engagement. We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Independent Contractor
We are an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, agency, or joint venture relationship between the parties.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement by giving 14 days’ written notice, or immediately if the other party commits a material breach that is not remedied within 14 days of written notice. Upon termination, you agree to pay for all services performed and reasonable expenses incurred up to the date of termination.
12. Website Use
Content on this website is provided for general information only and does not constitute professional advice. You should obtain advice specific to your circumstances before acting on any information on this website. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful code.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
14. Amendments
